This project was the exterior remodel of an existing condo building located in New Port Richey. The existing exterior of the building is an existing mansard that was experiencing major damage from rotten wood caused by water penetration. We explored ways to modernize the exterior of the existing structure and to match the neighborhood. This would be achieved through the use of removing the existing mansard, re-finishing the existing brick on the ground floor, and adding new stucco on the second floor. While this took place, the existing roof was repaired to fix the water penetration. As a centerpiece, we proposed the addition of a horizontal planked element located off the center of the main building.
